ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

Which is absurd to me. I was watching on my phone while eating dinner, and I heard them say MSU had nobody back to catch the punt. I thought about how stupid that was, because they know you're trying to block it here....there's no way they're going to allow that to happen.

Oh.....apparently there is a way. by using 6 people to block 10 (one MSU player didn't rush for some reason).

Jimmy is crazy like a fox

pause it right before the snap

gunner is not only uncovered he is looking for the ball

upon further review, if that was not dropped he throws it to the gunner EASY

It's an interesting conspiracy. The top guy is so open that I could see him looking back either way, but there are a couple of other guys who release as well.

Yeah it's hard to tell

IF that was the call then Jimmy just saw why Lesticles is the only man on the planet who gets away with that fucking nonsense in a spot like that

Don't just blame the 5 guys on the LOS. The 3 up backs didn't do much either. One gets blown back a couple yard before turning into a matador. The second guy blocks the MSU guy where he needs to be to catch the ball. And the third guy can be seen dancing around the 45 yard line without touching anyone.

Boise State kicker to Michigan punter: Prepare for 'dark, dark low place'
October 19, 2015 1:24 am ET

It's five years later and Kyle Brotzman still hasn't healed. Watching a replay of Michigan State-Michigan Saturday night didn't help.

“He's going to be struggling for the next couple of years,” Brotzman said of Michigan punter Blake O'Neill. “I went through hell for a couple of years.”

The former Boise State kicker came home from work Saturday night, flipped on his DVR and watched a replay of the Bobble At The Big House. Whatever you want to call it, he was drawn to O'Neill's mis-play of a snap that led to Michigan State's winning touchdown.

Five years ago, Brotzman missed two easy field goals at Nevada, wrecking the Broncos' chance for a BCS berth -- perhaps even a national championship.

Cont'd ...

Even the Detroit Free Press is railing on Harbaugh:

That's why it was disappointing that Harbaugh came across as a poor sport afterwards, crying about what he thought was officiating strongly tilted against the Wolverines. Instead, he should've pointed an accusatory finger at himself for calling a punt on the last play. Why even take the chance in that situation? Run the ball on fourth down and take a few more seconds off the clock, leaving Michigan State with no other option than attempt a Hail Mary on the final play.

But instead of blaming himself, Harbaugh blamed the referees.

It wasn't a good look.

Several folks at work today were also saying the punt wasn't the right call. Actually it was. If scUM runs the ball, fails to convert the fourth down, and doesn't run out the clock (which stops during the change of possession), then Sparty at least has a chance at a Hail Mary...of course, no one ever converts a Hail Mary at the Pig House, right? Or if they fumble the ball or get it stripped during the run, giving Sparty a chance, then everyone would be railing on Hairball for not punting. If scUM simply executes the punt--which they be able to do about 99% of the time--then game over since Sparty had no one back to receive it.
