So... They beat a bottom feeder from the Pac12 with a first year coach. They're back!

I think I just saw it for the first time in 8 years.

This is the win-win with that kind of game.
The delusion builds, but anyone who watched - the first half especially - knows they're pretty terrible. Oregon State is Purdue without the amazing STEM.

Key game for them is BYU. They'll beat unlv next week since they are really bad, but if they lose to BYU they'll fight to get to 6-6. Beat BYU and I think they have a real shot at 8-4.

Was unsure w/them losing Hill... but they appear to have a similar situation to us with 2 tested QBs, and enough talent around him to still be a legit top-25 team w/o the starter.
I expect BYU to win it easily; but maybe just wishful thinking.
Hard to get a read on scUM's defense... OreSt was held to 134yds on the day, but had 174yds part way through the 2nd quarter before they remembered they're Oregon State. Utah had 200yds passing, 100 rushing ... actually a little better than they did against Utah St. (though they lost Wilson in the latter). Their D could be anywhere from suspect to Big West good.
Meanwhile Rudock looks like hot garbage (even in a 28pt win) and not buying the emergence of Smith for a second.

If Harbaugh can win this, I think you're right -- and they're potentially looking at an 8 or 9-win season.
I just took a peak at their schedule, interestingly after BYU they have Maryland... and then a 3-game stretch hosting Northwestern, MSU, and @Minnesota.
I imagine Northwestern-Michigan will be a big proving point for both teams.

MSU obsession

What the heck is wrong with Dantonio? All the guy can think about is trying to beat UM in recruiting, on the field, in the media. It comes off as kind of pitiful to me when he can't enjoy his win over a top 10 program without making pointed jabs against Michigan. This article makes me realize how nervous MD is that he won't be able to maintain state dominance for long...

It's important the he capitalizes now, because he realizes he is in a tenuous situation. They need big recruits this year - and for the most part they're getting them. He knows that an intelligent recruit will choose Michigan every time.

If Hart was on fire dantonio wouldn't stop to piss on him. He's never gotten over that comment. He'll always remind me of a little girl whining because her big bro is pulling her doll's hair.
