ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

OK, just to play Devil's advocate for a bit: 1. Michigan has suffered for the last four years due to having to put their two most talented players at QB despite the fact that they were better suited for H back and WR duty. 2. In those 4 years they have managed one win and two coulda gone either way games with the Bucks and were in the 4th one until a last quarter fumble put the game out of reach. 3. In Matison they have a DC as good as any other in the Big 10, just haven't had the talent they usually have. 4. Their OL could be fixed relatively quickly. 5. The game is at AA. If Harbaugh has any sense at all he's bringing out all the newspaper clips that proclaimed the 69 Buckeyes the team of the century, he's got a spiritualist conjuring up Bo from beyond the veil and he's got the game film and telecast next to the projector. 6. The game is one week after the division title game against Sparty that promises to be a bare knuckles brawl and one week before the CCG.

Hairball pulled a meandering 49ers team out of a decade long slump in 2011 and made them into a top three or four team for the next three years. That he lost battles with the front office and his players doesn't mean he can't resurrect the Wolverines before his ego gets the best of him again.

Put aside talk of plungers - this is going to be the bridge at Antietam.
The biggest reason 1969 is not likely to happen again is that 1969 happened.

It is Urban who will be rolling out the remainders of that upset.

Also, Rex Kern had an epicly terrible game that day.

Ohio State has a few options if their starting QB is on their way to throwing four interceptions (and seven turnovers total) this year.

Fair enough but recall if you will Cooper actually played scUM tough as hell his first few years when he was outmanned as well (he didn't turtle until he had more talent) so 2-3 close ones in a row don't always point to future loss.

Second, those games have been close because the talent scUM did have on offense played out of their fucking skulls in each of those games so it isn't really fair to say they did it with defense and a bunch of garbage on O. The garbage forgot it was garbage 3 years running.

I agree with you over all that plunger talk might be a bit premature but then again, what do they have at QB? The past 3 years have been talented underperformers who played up to their talent. This year there is no Gardner to play like he's actually capable of for the better part of 4 quarters. There is no Funchess to have one game that matches his physical tools.

lastly my reason for confidence is that essentially it will take a mental let down from OSU to lose The Game and our coach is Urban Meyer.

Michigan WR prospect displays his "urban long jump" skillz...

If that isn't the perfect representation of a scUM football season i don't know what is.

Full of confidence and swagger, launches in September and gets some real good height....then well, November awaits

For once we have something a track coach can comment on - doesn't have his steps down. He hits the takeoff board with both feet taking a good deal of his momentum out of his approach, otherwise he has pretty good form, but without steps even Jesse Owens comes up short. Poor coaching, which - of course - brings us back to Michigan.

Junior pulled a Dan Yaccobacci on me (he is from PA) and then threw in the "let's compare bank accounts" for good measure.

All the Dude wanted out of the Twitter was to get some news about Ohio State, U of Chicago and Formula 1, and he finds himself in psycho twitter wars with The Harbaugh cultists. And his rug back; the Dude also wanted his rug back.

Just sayin': Option #1 was Ron Maciejowski (i.e. Super Sub)
