Update on elite JUCO DL Jeffrey M’ba - He ain't comin'
Submitted by MarkyMarkWitho… on November 17th, 2021 at 10:01 AM

There was some chatter about Michigan being able to take JUCO prospect Jeffrey M'ba.

That now apparently is dead - speculation was grades - but unsure why this died so quickly after it seeming a hot topic.

Link

M’ba was set to officially visit Ann Arbor for the game against Ohio State next Saturday, but that visit is off, M’ba told Maize n Brew Tuesday afternoon.

“Nope, I will not visit Michigan (anymore),” M’ba said.

Instead, he will be visiting Auburn for its game against Alabama.

Gee I wonder why that topic coulda died so quickly. Naturally the apologists blame academics and the admissions.

I usually don't pay attention to tiktok type stuff, but TSUN obviously pumped money into that realm. There are pro-UM and crap on OSU videos all over the place.

Ric Flair is on there screaming Go Blue. Not sure what his connection is. Lol

I think it must be a recruiting push.

The best recruiting will always be putting guys in NFL. Period.

I don’t see Michigan changing that overnight. OSU still has a massive edge here.

I’ll give UM credit for bringing in a young innovative coordinator. I think that’ll give them some juice on defense (not sure how like he stays though).

I don’t think Michigans offense is conducive to playmakers at all. I don’t think we will be in many recruiting battles with them with exception to RB where Michigan can sell 30 touches a game.

I continue to love where we are at.

Totally agree. I think OSU will probably hire a good DC and hopefully Stud is let go. That should right the ship on needs and optics.

Ric Flair has always been pro Michigan, that’s nothing new. Supposedly even signing a LOI with them in 1968, but details are blurry at best.

He also had that weird March Madness style event there, I think for Signing Day in Hairballs first year

ScUM will send 2 DEs higher in the draft than any OSU DL this upcoming draft though. That can't happen next year

I do think this was a sweet spot year for that program. Hutchinson probably would have been gone last year, had TSUN had a full and healthy season.

He had no sacks(and only 13tkls) in a shortened season, I doubt leaving would've been beneficial, even with the extra games.
True but again, TSUN had a perfect storm of events this season. Key veteran personnel where many teams had rebuild issues, especially the Buckeyes. Everything hit right for them this year. With the losses they are facing next season, I don't see them having a season like this for a while. That's why they seem so desperate to sell their program to maybe get a couple 4 or 5 stars in 2022 or 2023.

I think HS coaches and parents know the reality of the situation, and I would be surprised if much changes while Harbaugh is HC.

THIS! 2021 was the perfect storm year for scUM to beat OSU. And they lose a bunch this season, and the talent is nowhere near equal between OSU and scUM.

Recruits appear to be buzzing

Domani Jackson doesn't include Michigan in his final 2. DFBIA has been convinced they still had a pretty good chance after he decommitted from USC earlier. He was at the game on Saturday too......they are naturally shocked that 1 win over Ohio State doesn't = immediate high level recruiting success.
