Basically, we offered Tawfiq Thomas but wanted him to visit before the offer was committable. He didn't visit and decided to commit anyways, going as far as scheduling an announcement. Michigan called him last minute and told him he couldn't commit, and so Thomas was forced to cancel his announcement. I imagine he wasn't pleased with the poor communication.

Thomas is teammates with Eugenio, and Eugenio was hyping up the commitment when the announcement was scheduled.
