One of my favorite ways of comparing classes is by Position Rank. After all, how do you rank a Safety vs a DL vs an RB? But within a position group it becomes easier, especially at the top level. (At the lower levels I can't imagine how an analyst could accurately discern between the #35 and #55 athlete at any position.)

So here, in strict order of position ranking is the 2022 UM class:

4, 10, 19, 20, 28, 42, 58, 82, 91, 96, 126, N/A

And the OSU 2022 class:

1, 2. 3. 3, 5, 5, 13, 13, 14, 20, 21, 24, 35, 36

And since I didn't get around to this last year, the 2021 UM class:

2, 4, 4, 10, 11, 11, 15, 22, 25, 26, 28, 29, 34, 35, 37, 39, 45, 50, 94, 129

At first glance that may look like a pretty good class.

Here is OSU:

1, 1, 1, 3, 3, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 14, 15, 16, 22, 25, 29
(and from what I am hearing this class might not be complete with a potential #2 to be added to the list)

I'm reminded of how dfbia went ape that Tyrone Wheatley was able to land Tyrone Wheatley Jr seven years ago. "What a remarkable job by this staff" not sure the kid played a meaningful snap and am pretty sure didn't finish his career at scUM
Junior had 6 catches for 61 career yards as a TE up north. But if you’re not willing to call the second TD pass thrown by Wilson Speight in a 41-8 win over the Illini meaningful, you are simply a harsh judge of his career.

He transferred to Stony Brook and then again to Morgan State, where his dad is still the head coach. Oddly enough, Wheatley Jr. just earned a tryout with the Bears as an OL last week. Although he won’t make the Bears roster, the DFBIA could spin that as another player from TTUN that is ‘with an NFL team’.

New commitment Alessandro Lorenzetti has now been ranked by 247 Composite:

Stars: 3*
Nat Rank: #705
Pos Rank: #62
Rating: 86.35

Michigan now has SEVEN 3-star commitments, which is more than Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, and LSU combined.

Michigan's class is now ranked #8 overall, but the average per recruit drops to 88.90, which is .38 ahead of Rutgers, and 5.49 behind Ohio State.

I have it on good authority that Harbaugh is lobbying for a rule change that would make his recruiting strategy Brilliant.

Under this rule teams would be able to field the same number of "star equivalents " as their opponent.

So if OSU had three 5 star wide receivers UM would be able to cover them with five 3 star DBs.

Always a step ahead.

Nevermind that a guy like DPJ was the #1 player at his position and scUM “developed” him into a 6th round pick. Harbaugh gets them to the NFL!!!

Let's not also forget that the "QB whisperer" took a former 5star QB(and one of the highest rated reruits ever by 247sports) and made him a UDFA to the NFL and is now in the CFL.
They also took 2 top 5 RBs and made them afterthoughts in college! That's some top notch development there :roll2:
