I'm sure the kid is talented. My concern if I am a Meatchicken fan, is that these recent recruits come from Massachusetts.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the scale of competition in that region of the country hasn't been historically stellar.

A 3 star kid from a state like Ohio, Florida, Texas and California faces tougher opponents.

Maybe I'm off here.

Despite having a 5* QB commit with a .9899 rating, Michigan's average per recruit (247 Composite) is only .9017, which shows just how far the low 3* recruits are dragging down that class....

And the .9017 rating doesn't include their zero star punter with a .0000 rating (Tommy Doman), because apparently 247 doesn't know what to do with unranked recruits and basically just ignores them when determining team rankings and recruit averages. If we assign Doman a rating of .7591, which is the same as Michigan punter Brad Dobbins received in the class of 2017, then Michigan's average per recruit becomes .8859.

In case you forgot, Ohio State's average per recruit is .9552.

But there's no talent gap....

OSU is now, and has been, ahead of Michigan in virtually every single stat, including illegal tattoos, since WW2. They have gotten more of the top players almost every year since WW2, which has been proven by the fact that OSU has WAY more award winners (Heisman, Lombardi, Doak Walker etc), almost 50% more B1G titles than Michigan, WAY more national titles. OSU is a bigger School and bigger state and have been a better program for 85% of the time between the end of WW2 and now. He’s right in that OSU is killing it in recruiting. But they always have. The stupidity is looking at OSU and thinking M should be on that level.
Aren't these the same people who always brag about pre-WWI national championships, the head-to-head record in the Rivalry, and #Winningest?

Thanks Oregon, used your link and feel pretty good about what I read. Glad we didn't have this resource during the ol' 2-10-1 years, would have probably read the same way, except substitute tOSU for Meatchicken…..anyway, according to 247, the current score reads (inside the top 100 recruits), Michigan 2, THE Ohio State 11. Not projecting the finish, but being the homer that I am, I project that this gap will widen significantly. Go Bucks!

UPDATE: Michigan just landed another three-star recruit, with a 247 Composite rating of .8638, which drops Michigan's class average to .8975

247 Composite is still not counting zero star punter Tommy Doman in its team rankings. If we assign Doman a score of .7591, then Michigan's class average is .8836.

Lest you forget, Ohio State's class average is .9525.

But remember: Stars don't matter, and there is no talent gap.

It's going to get to the point that not only do we expect to win The Game every year, we'll expect a 25-30 point blowout every year.
