ttun recruiting (all classes)

If the post season band is one year, it would be over before these recruits enter the program. Even if it’s two years, it will just impact their first year.
Even a 1yr ban could cause mass transfers which could affect massively in the future. And even having 1 decimated class could hurt a program for years to come

I don’t see a 1-year ban causing significant harm to the program. Of course, I expect the ban to be 2-years, which will cause more harm. And I expect more coaching turmoil once Moore gets a one or two year show-cause.

My point was that tcun is likely telling the ‘26 recruits that there may be a 1-year ban and that would not affect their career.

Regardless of the punishments, the wording of the ruling will become part of their legacy. Statements that they knowingly and purposely committed offenses and obsstructed the investigation may not bother the mouth breathers, but it will be fodder for negtive recruiting. Particularly among parents who raise the type of kids you want on your team.

In addition to the few recent commits, a few other CBs rolling in and seem to have some positive momentum in my view.

Not all "momentum" is created equal. They are still recruiting at about the same they did under Harbaugh (goodish but not near elite), minus their paycheck players they landed at the end of last class.

Yeah, I have yet to see a scUM commit or even kid they're seriously recruiting that I'd want for OSU(save Hiter and Meadows)

They got ZERO real recruiting boost from a national title, they had a rich dude write some checks at the end of last class but that was the only reason those few players ended up there.

Postseason bands aren't all of it - who knows what coaches will be there in 2025/2026? Top players looking to be developed should be scared at not knowing who will be coaching them. And postseason bans are still relevant for young players since bowl practices are huge for them (especially if able to go deep into the playoffs).
