ttun recruiting (all classes)

No. It would be a complete disaster if they ended up in position where Chase Herbstreit was their QB sometime in the future.
But also, they'd just fall backwards into him breaking his legs in practice, which turns him into Lamar Jackson when the tendons heal a little tight. The deal somebody made with the devil to keep them smelling like sunshine keeps on ticking.

Funky butt lovin

Yeah... seems to be a stretch. Even if Underwood doesn't make it through, is the kid good enough to be a starting QB in a Big 10 school?
No. He’s not a QB, he’s more of an athlete. I’ve been to several of their games this year. And he’s better as a runner than passer. And yes, this is being sold as a win over OSU, though I don’t see Kirk selling it as that. But many of those around them. Between he and Moeller kid, the kid from Moeller is MUCH Better! And he could be a Buckeye if offered for football

Michigan Wolverines prioritizing another five-star quarterback recruit, adding intrigue behind Bryce Underwood

The Michigan Wolverines made a program-altering splash a few months ago, adding elite five-star quarterback recruit Bryce Underwood to their 2025 recruiting class. The move sent shockwaves through college football, as the team flipped him away from the LSU Tigers and proved that Sherrone Moore was a serious player in recruiting.

The Wolverines aren't done yet, however, and have their sights set on adding another five-star quarterback to the roster behind Underwood as they continue to revamp the quarterback room.

Ryder Lyons, the third-ranked overall quarterback recruit in the 2026 recruiting class, visited the Wolverines this past week and came away feeling like he was "their number one guy".

As soon as new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey stepped foot in the building, he began building bridges with Lyons, setting up the future foundation he hoped to use to land Lyons as another talented signal caller for Michigan.

However, that has raised some eyebrows, as they would have two back-to-back five-star quarterbacks, which normally could cause some controversy centered around the future of the position and inevitably point to someone potentially portaling out.

That's not the case here for the Wolverines. Lyons will be stepping away for two years on a mission trip. By the time he returns, Underwood will be entering his third year on the team and potentially ready to declare for the NFL Draft at the end of that season, allowing Lyons to sit behind him for a year before assuming the mantle. Assuming all things break right for Michigan, this would be an easy transition from one talented signal caller to another.

Michigan Wolverines and Sherrone Moore closing in on landing elite running back recruit, keeping him away from key rivals

Javian Osborne, Elite Four Star RB Recruit

We've been following top tier four star running back recruit Javian Osborne and the battle for his commitment here at A to Z Sports for quite some time. For a long time Osborne looked like he was a lock for Texas. Then there was momentum with Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Back to Texas. Then Michigan and Notre Dame began to surge after some positional staffing changes for the Longhorns.

Now Osborne has made it official. His recruiting battle is down to just two teams: Michigan and Notre Dame. He has official visits set with both in June as he finalizes his decision. Can Michigan actually seal the deal?

Just sayin': I find it hard to believe that scUM and ND are outbidding Texas, aTm, and Okie in NIL money here; especially for a Texas HS recruit.

Just a side note to one of the posts above. "Back in the Day", Jim Herbstreit was a RB under Woody. Do remember hearing "Herbstreit carried the ball" many times as sat in the Shoe with my father, munching popcorn. Sooo, when someone mentioned that Kirk's son was better runner than QB, the thought occured that maybe the RB talent skipped a generation? PS, any father wants their son to succeed, no matter what arena. And I respect that. Even if that arena is TTUN. Betcha he doesn't stay there for all four though.

Saw this exchange on the scUM message board at On3:
Don’t disagree with this… I just think the way they let Osborne disappear without a serious fight/talking money, I think they’ve always thought one way or another they can close with Hiter. To whiff on both would be a serious miscalculation and management of the process IMO
On a similar line of thinking, I doubt they'd be comfortable with a RB board this small if they did not have confidence in landing Hiter, Latimer or both.
The bolded is from their staff member- Ethan McDowell. I guess he has to pump sunshine up their butts to keep the subscriptions coming in. But this looks eerily similar to the Tony Alford experience. If/when they whiff on Hiter, having to then pivot to some unranked local kid to save face. Difference is Buckeye fans have no problem calling out their coaches, while scUM fans just dig in and blindly defend. It will be hilarious if he also misses on Hiter, so they feel what OSU did so many years with him as coach
