ttun basketball (Juwan out, Dusty May in)

How big of a dick do you have to be to think you’re entitled to physically impede someone because they don’t want to shake your hand?

Again, not defending Juwan at all, but it’s baffling that people acting like Gard touching him didn’t start the whole thing.

I mean….I called him a fuckwit, yeah? I don’t see how it can be construed that I’m giving Gard a pass here.

The scum boards are hilarious. Their initial reaction was for him to be fired but now the vast majority of them are coming up with every excuse in the book to defend howard. Very similar to their reactions after every loss to OSU or every football season that fails to meet expectations.

This attitude of "somebody touched me so I can fucking do whatever want" is so fucking weird. Like, did Juwaaahn really fear for his personal safety from some fuckwit from Bucky a foot shorter than him touching him? Gimme a fucking break. Just how fucking fragile does your masculinity have to be that you'll start a fight because someone dared touch you.
No shit. And M*ch*gan clowns are all over twitter with that stupidity. DFBIA

Yet again those fucktards give me a reason to say “Fuck M*ch*gan doesn’t cover it”

I hate to be this guy, especially when it comes to TTUN, but their players didn’t start throwing punches until #0 on Wisconsin started punching.

Just to clarify my stance, Howard was 100% wrong and deserves whatever punishment is handed to him. But a lot of this was escalated by Wisconsin. You can explain why you called a timeout without putting your hands on me. Also, Krabbenhoft came in and pushed a TTUN player. Never touch an opposing player who is trying to de-escalate things.

#0 for whisky - if you watch, the first time he gets hit he ran like a little bitch back behind everyone - "Hold me Back"

I reiterate that this is good. It’s a clear example of hypocrisy and an embarrassment they will be called out forever on, and he’s not even good—it looks like the team is on a trajectory to forever mediocrity under his coaching.

Let them have his not-even-very-good-in-the-first-place teams and all the baggage that comes with it.

If his whiny, hot-headed attitude weren't likely to get an opposing player hurt by becoming the program culture, I'd say I'm perfectly fine with them retaining him for as long as they want, because the techs/ejections and other antics would likely make for grade A entertainment. Unfortunately I'm sure that attitude becoming the attitude of the players over the long term would result in some nasty, injury-causing intentional fouls and brawls.

How did they even let him in front of a camera at that point?

I'm looking for some recent updates on this saying that he's been fired, and I am shocked that I can't find anything. How has he not been fired? I don't give anyone on the floor for Wisconsin a pass on anything, but how is this different from Woody's hit? "Self-Defense"? I don't buy that.

If I had any power, I'd suspend *ichigan from the Big Ten Tournament unless they fire Howard. If they fire Howard, *ichigan gets off with no more punishment. And if they try to re-hire him, they're suspended from 2 more tournaments with no chance of getting back in them.

He needed to “protect himself” from the guy who touched him by slapping a completely separate guy awhile later. That should hold up…
This has to be reiterated. One does not 'protect themself" from one dude by taking a swipe at a completely different dude after disengaging from the alleged threatening menace who is giving you a foot or more in height. Greg Gard - Superfly.

Enough with the Woody Hayes comparisons. That guy was at the *very* end of his career, was himself probably going to retire, and that university was already looking for an excuse to move on. And, yes, he hit a player, with no provocation.

I'm not defending Juwan here. Just ... enough with citing Woody Hayes as binding authority. Not the same situation, not relevant.

So, if I understand correctly, players are more valuable than coaches.
And Woody was just using this as his means to get out of Ohio State. This was his solution.

You're goddamned right I'm making the comparison. I know it isn't exactly the same. It was a player and not a coach. There was already a scrum and not just a wide open shot. It was Wisconsin basketball and not Clemson football.

Assuming the *ichigan athletic office started working at 8:00, they've now had 34 minutes to fire Howard and they've failed for 34 minutes. And don't give me the "President's Day" bullshit. You get your ass into the office and fire the head coach who hit a member of another team.

Why are postgame handshakes even a thing?

Spare me the sportsmanship argument.

Baseball doesn’t do it.

Get rid of them.

I mean.....
- Woody was an old man who hit a kid
- The kid literally didn't do a single thing wrong
- It was completely out of nowhere

Fair. This was in response to my question, "How is this different from what Woody did?" And all of your points are correct. Except Bauman taunted the Ohio State sideline - absolutely no excuse for hitting him. I don't know why I even brought it up. Never mind that point.

But I think you suspend a player for doing that. You fire a coach for doing that. They need to be held to a higher standard than players.
