No, Juwan thinking it’s ok for him to have his guys pressing against backups with the shot clock off in the last 30 seconds of a blowout, but thinking he has the right to be pissed off about the opposing coach calling a timeout to prevent a turnover is what started the incident.
It’s true that Gard grabbing Howard’s forearm to stop him to explain what he did and maybe shake his hand was the initial physical contact in the incident.
Also, notice how Howard grabs Gard’s lapels for a second right after that, it wasn’t evident in the initial videos, but that was also a factor is escalating the reaction of the other Wisconsin coaches and players.
Did you not see the fist after to toughen up the choice to slap?
"Krabby is a piece of work, was assaulting my guys, and I snapped" would have been a truthful answer, and would have garnered a lot more sympathy than protecting himself against Store Brand Izzo.Wait till 9 guys are in between you and then slap/grab some dude half your size = self defense to DFBIA fanboys
After they were separated, it should’ve been over.
That makes sense. I guess we need new rules, though. Who is allowed to punch people because of bad reffing? Now that we know having a poorly officiated game means somebody gets to punch somebody else.....does Ohio State just hire Mike Tyson to be an assistant. Then the second there's a bad call, he walks over....kind of apologetically, like "thems the rules bro"....and then he just punches somebody else on the other team? Since this is allowed and all, I want to check with the mental gymnastic champions over there so nobody is breaking any rules the next time there's a bad call and somebody thinks they're allowed to pop someone from the other team. Can players get in on this? Maybe as long as it's player on player or coach on coach then it's allowed? Do you recruit an enforcer just so he can go punch the best player on the other team?Heres some gold.
Its the OFFICIALS FAULT that Howard acted like a childish dick and threw a punch because they "made him lose his cool with their bad officiating"

The longer he's employed, the worse Michigan looks for this.
Why hire Tyson when you've got Buster Douglas in town already? That makes sense. I guess we need new rules, though. Who is allowed to punch people because of bad reffing? If you play it in slow motion; it's obvious he's not punching.. he's reaching out to smooth down the dude's cowlick..
