This is the scUM program pretty much bottoming out. An Illini team that was winless in conference, completely inept on both offense and defense, was in TOTAL chaos and appeared to have totally quit just blew their doors off. If that's not a wake up call, I don't know what is. They might not win again depending on which Purdue shows up next week.

This is glorious. :rofl::rofl::slappy::lol::slappy::rofl::rofl:

Welcome to our little thread of joy, friendly Wolverine! What's your take on the whole melodrama/meltdown going on all over the scUM boards?

I typically stay away from those boards after games because they take games too extremely; be they wins or losses, but I will admit this is one of the first games I don't have a problem with all the negativity on the boards. I've been the biggest supporter of giving Rich Rod 3-4 years just simply because he needs that time to put his program place, but with games like this it's hard to see how big boosters and people in the AD will have the patience that I have.

I try to take positives from this game, and there ARE a few, but for like the umpteenth time in the Rich Rod era we looked uninterested and played without passion. I feel absolutely terrible for Brandon Graham because he's played with heart every play of every game but his teammates around him just can't match his intensity and playmaking ability (granted, he did have a bad read that enabled Juice to break off his 30+ yard run on the first drive, but nobody's perfect.)

I can't figure out what to say. I just can't.

Seems some posters over there figure they should just go out and get Brian Kelly for next year. Didn't Kelly turn them down once? (Serious question, I forget if he did or if he simply didn't get a look (I might be thinking of Shiano))
I'd question why Kelly would even consider leaving Cincy for Michigan right now, considering the state of both programs.

schiano went to bed a wolverine, woke up a scarlet knight and said no thanks.

Kelly's character issues were a red flag. They may not have that luxury next time.

I think certain types of boards are prone to extreme drama. Lord knows we have our over-the-top "Fire Tressel" brigades. Loudmouth "fans" trashing the coach and the program are always irritating.

Your poise and rationality at this moment are to be applauded, friendly Wolverine.

I can, you hired a coach that padded his resume in a very weak conference with a style of play that isn't built to succeed in a conference like the B10. He's in way over his hair plugged head.

That was Schiano. I think they passed on Kelly because of some supposed character issues that I don't know the full story on. Good move.

When do the de-commits start?
