If this is true, I've got no doubts that RichRod will send the video to the Big Ten for review. He won't let that slide in a game he coached.

That was Schiano. I think they passed on Kelly because of some supposed character issues that I don't know the full story on. Good move.

Kelly's issues, from what I've heard, had to do with toes he stepped on along his climb up the coaching ladder. Things like firing assistants for poor performance and giving negative references to former coaches. I think what we've learned in his time at Cincinnati is that Kelly wants his coaches to peform and if they aren't (ask the DC at USF who Kelly whacked a day after the Orange Bowl last year) he gets rid of them.
But in actual 'character' Kelly has been nothing less than a class act both on and off the field at UC and has represented the program a whole heck of a lot better than some UC fans have.
As for scUM, Kelly never got a sniff at the job in 07.

I heard some second hand info that Kelly might not be the class act you suggest when the cameras are off. Not "unworthy of coaching here" unclassy, just some dickish moves..

Hell of a coach though. I hope that he never gets hired at TSUN........Here's to RR beating Purdue before we beat them so he can hang around just a little longer :wink:

DickRod isn't going anywhere soon. However, his leash did get a good bit shorter with Martin announcing that he's stepping down and the dualing guerilla fistings the past two Saturdays.

I wasnt concerned about this season. I would like him just to be mediocre enough to hang around for a couple more seasons. This is too much fun!
