Was coming on here to post the same. Just curious, what would you give right now to have a 6 pack of your favorite beer, your favorite pizza, burger, whatever and 2 free hours in your schedule to sit down right now and hammer out the rest of this series? Personally it would easily be worth a $100 bill. Easy. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Well at least it's not going to come down to them trying to prove the minister guy was the ringleader because well...

hesdead

should be pretty good from here on out though (not that it hasn't been up to this point).

It was a dead giveaway that Errol, the lawnmower guy, would be a part of the cult when I saw who the actor was playing him. He was also in Boardwalk Empire and a guy like that doesn't take on a tiny role as a lawnmower guy.

If it does turn out to be a cult run by a rich old white guy, I will be very disappointed. That trope has been run into the ground. It will be an all too predictable end to what has been a unique show.

It could be that the plot is less of a trope and more of a "based on a true story" type affair:

Sex Charges Follow a Church's Collapse

Maybe the content of the story above served as a hint of inspiration for the show.

I guess I gave the show too much credit for originality.
I'm pretty sure the title of the show is a play on the "True Crime" genre. I thought I saw something in this thread about next season being based on a different real crime with a totally different cast. I mean shit, recorded human history goes back quite a ways. Unless you're making a shit sandwich show about zombies or something supernatural, it's probably not all that original.
