The future's so bright, I've gotta wear... shades.
Neighbor to the north of me lost the top of his mango tree which is laying in my yard. Neighbor behind me has a fence panel blown out. My rubber tree (that I want to get rid of any way) in the back yard has lost about 40% of its branches so far.
Winds are anywhere from 25mph to 75mph right now. Had 3 tornado warnings in the past hour.
This is getting interesting.

Still no worse than Matthew was so far, but the eye is still well south. I'll probably be back around midnight saying I wish I had left unless it starts dying fast.

Yep. Mainly it is there to keep the bugs out. Lots of mosquitos, gnats, no-see-ums (like gnats but bite) around here. It does also help a bit with cutting down the uv as well, depending on what type of screen you use.

Alright, up to about 60mph winds. The fucking thing is moving straight north right now, which puts the eastern eye wall roughly right over my house. I'm really not enjoying the noises the wind is making now, so I hope I manage to be asleep when the 80+ winds hit (I will sleep through it as long as I get to sleep).

Nope, not fun. Power is starting to flicker and I'm legit worried a few windows will pop. The noises are freaky right now.

Thankfully looks like little to no damage in my immediate area. Still getting a few good gusts on the back side of the system, but things seem to be slowly returning to normal. Didn't lose power at all overnight, which was nice, despite the AC being broken already. Just waiting for the curfew to be lifted to head out for the post-storm meal at Waffle House down the street.

Absolutely a gorgeous day today, but still hot as hell. Yard clean up is about 80% done, but I had to come in, cold shower and relax after about 3.5 hours of it.

HTTR Forever.
My brother lost power for about 3 hours. My mom lost power Sunday night and still doesn't have it back yet. Neither had any structural damage or flooding.
