Don't be a wuss! Kinch had to wade through NYC shit floating hurricane waters to get to his favorite Starbucks for a double mocha latte last week!

I like my coffee black, like my. . .

Power out all night again here after the storm. I don't mind that as much as the smoke alarm beeping every minute louder than hell letting me know the power is off (I replaced the battery and hit every button). I finally just dismantled the thing an hour ago, as even now it won't quit.

I have power!

I said that loudly to myself. Now I have that stupid old song stuck in my head. I don't know it. It is "I have the power!" then blah blah.
Oh, yes, you do.

It seems way too disorganized and conditions unfavorable to cause too much of an issue. It will make my job hell, though, if the rain keeps up. I can kiss my quotas good bye, and my stellar monthly reviews. :(

Sucks about your quotas, but I think someone west of New Orleans and to the East of Houston is going to get hit by a minimal Hurricane on like Thursday or so.

Looks like we're escaping with just the outer edges of rain. Hope it doesn't firm up too much by the time it hits the Texas/Louisiana coast.

But after looking at the radar...they really have this thing tracking that far south and west? It looks like its just sitting there, and my money is on it just staying put or moving mostly northward.

the "S" on the map for 7am Thursday is pretty much exactly where I live.
while this will make for a shitty few days of weather, this is a better scenario for than some of the others I've seen that has it hitting one-two parishes west of me.
