Latest computer run has it a little west of my house Sunday with about about 60-65 mph winds, gusts a little more. Hope not. That will be a day or two w/out power for sure.

I need to bourbon, scotch and red wine up in the morning. No ice or fridge? No problem.

Streets already flooding in low lying areas. A nearby neighborhood already lost power. Some pretty good gusts have taken out some branches which fell on wires, most likely.

I'd be shocked if Nutria had power now. Saw radar that had some bad bands going over him, and tornadoes sited in his area. He should be getting some coastal flooding from the wind as well. Not a shot he gets to see the game on TV, if I were a betting man. Which I am.

no power loss yet.
in fact, currently the skies are clear and it's not raining right now.
reportedly got 10" of rain over the last 30 hours or so with more in the forecast.

water is about 3-4 ft above normal outside the levees.

hoping like hell we don't lose power.
but if we do, it will probably happen 5 minutes before kickoff and be restored almost immediately after the game is over.

so, how much money did you lose?

haven't lost power, and DirecTv still coming in loud and clear.

damn storm jogged back south into the gulf.
it's south west of me now, but all the rain is to my east.

looks like some of the bands on the back of this thing will make it's way this direction before it's all over with.

wish my phone wouldn't have crapped out on me.
coulda got some crazy pics from outside the levee system.

all the dead marsh grass from anywhere east of here was floating and piled up in a canal just south of here.
water level dropped a few feet, and this dead grass is completely covering the piers at all the camps down that canal.
thickest i've ever seen shit like that.

Yeah Nute - it went way left from the Saturday official forecast track. That's cool, as we were pretty dry. Looks like Mobile got it pretty good, but we are right in a spot where the band are farther east.

Glad you are doing well.

how's the street flooding in NOLA?

or more specifically, did anyone televise some dumbass driving into standing water under that overpass only to discover it's like 4ft deep?

it happens every freaking time it rains, so I'm sure someone did it today.

raining off and on all morning.
winds have really picked up.

looks like it officially on land (for now).
they have it farther north than me, and a ways to the west.

water level outside the levee doesn't look like a threat. We got about 4ft before it gets to the top.

Bayou Terrebonne on the other hand is beyond max capacity.
lots of people living along the bayou have water in their yards.
it's not a threat to cross the road and flood the town yet, but we need this shit to stop soon before it becomes a threat.
