Ooops, posted my rant on the wrong thread. Michael Bay just needs to die. I am a HUGE fan of Bruckheimer movies, and he is the only director to ever make a Bruckheimer produced movie that was horrible (Armageddon).

I will give him credit though, he has found the sweet spot with the american public. Kinda like music nowadays......prey on everyone's horrible taste and low standards.

Transformers 2 was fuckin' sick. If you didn't like it...I mean seriously, what the fuck did you expect? I saw some sick ass fights, sweet explosions, cool robots, and Megan Fox running in slow motion.

She was wearing some shit that looked like lingerie, with jeans on, and no, they were in a desert...but she was all sweaty. Yeah, that's right, you heard me...there are "men" on BP that just couldn't stand a movie that had Megan Fox's sweaty boobs. Seriously, wtf.

Bingo. Maybe I am just getting old or something. Movies nowadays are very shallow and boring. At least for the most part.

Yep, you summed it up. There are cool explosions in every movie now. Nothing different. Megan Fox is hot, absolutely, but I can just google pics of her rather than watching a movie just to see her jumblies. Albeit wonderful jumblies :biggrin:

Everyone has low standards and just accepts it. Maybe as the years have gone by, everybody is just out of ideas? We get the same rehashed crap all over again. They are remaking Clash of the Titans and Footloose now. FOOTLOOSE!! Thank god you can just watch older movies over and over again :biggrin:

I saw this today. It was about what I expected - a ton of action, a plot that had some issues, and a very hot Megan Fox.

It's a summer movie - if you like action and don't care about plot and acting, it should be entertaining. If you expect something else, you may be disappointed, but if you expect something else, who are you kidding?

I wasn't expecting to see The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari in a review for this movie - LordJeffBuck would be surprised.

To be totally honest...I bought the first one the day it hit the stores without having watched it before. I was pretty upset, other than Megan Fox and seeing my childhood favorite, Bumblebee. After watching it another time, my opinion was "meh". My nephew begged me to take him to see the second one, so I did. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was worth the $6 matinee price, and if my other nephew wants to see it, I'll take him and watch it again. I liked this movie far better than the first one.
