Trading Kevin Garnett?!

If reports are true that he wants a 5 yr 125mil. extension, then I'm not so sure that the Wolves are making out pretty well in this deal. Jefferson is going to be a very, very good player,if he isn't already. I love G Green also. Considering both players are 21 and 22, they're young and good. Don't feel bad for the T-Wolves, in the long run, they should be better off.

The Celts will be very good this season, until they need to rely on the bench play, then it could get questionable. No question though, they will be fun to watch.

Well its finally Official.

FOX Sports on MSN - NBA - Celtics complete deal for Garnett

Looks like the T-Wolves are getting: Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Gerald Green and two 2009 1st Round Picks (top 3 protected)

Celtics are finally a contender now with KG, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, Who would've thought going into the NBA Draft the Celtics would end up with KG and Ray Allen before the season started.

God I hate giving up Al, Theo, and Gerald Green. That's alot of young talent. 2 09 1st rounders is tough too.

I hope you meant Gomes, and not Theo in this group. I am not sure that a 34 year old center who played in four games last season and is close to retiring due to bum knees qualifies as young talent.

The only reason he was involved in the deal is because of his expiring contract.

Wow...Danny Ainge once again got played. The rumors were the four guys and one future draft pick. That would have been a good deal. Now that you throw in a very good Ryan Gomes and another first-rounder, you are just throwing too many pieces around.

The Celtics stood to gain a lot from making a move, but they didn't have to get THIS desperate to make it. Minnesota was kind of desperate to get something for KG, as well, just maybe not as soon as this summer. I don't know how much I like the deal now, but that trio is definitely going to create a buzz in New England that the C's haven't had for a long time. The Celtics basically just gave up 5 first-round quality guys (Gomes, Jefferson, Green, and the two future picks) for one HOFer who has already played twelve seasons in the league. Hope the ticket and jersey sales are worth it. Don't know if those three with hardly any help can win any titles...will be fun to watch, though.
