This would be good news for Penn State because it would also mean they could expect to get Beachum and McCarthy to join Zordich.tlinc;855882; said:One of the things I have been thinking about a bit recently is the snowball effect in recruiting and the inter-relationships between recruit's decisions.
For example, I really think that getting Sweat helps our chances with both Pryor and Hale because they see a top recruit from the same general area (Western PA) going to tOSU. For this reason, I think if Pryor commits to tOSU also, it increases our chances with Hale who would see another bigtime guy from his area commiting and be slightly more likely to come to OSU.

Or maybe this "theory" is just a lot of wishful thinking, and kids just make their own decisions.

Agreed, Penn St. is holding onto Pa. talent this year the way Michigan did last year.CleveBucks;856598; said:Did michigan do much better last year? Didn't think so.

I don't see why you need shake your head HBG - supermario's point was that ND needs as much DB help as possible.HBGCrusader;856967; said:
ND is setting themselves up to take in one of the top DB classes in the nation,
The head shake is because the poster said,"Who is ND going to land that will stop them from offering Holley" and simply responded that ND is doing a great job with CB recruiting. He basically made it sound like ND has no shot with the guys offered, so they might as well offer Holley (Which is nowhere close to being true).sandgk;856972; said:I don't see why you need shake your head HBG - supermario's point was that ND needs as much DB help as possible.
You respond that ND is looking to bring in a highly rated class of DBs - which they are doing because there is still a lack of talent in ND's secondary.
So, why the heck the shake? Your response proves mario's assessment is true.

Penn State probably won't even land one Top 11 kid.
I know it's probably hard for you to count and all considering you are a Buckeye and all. In my best Carlos Mencia impression... dee-dee-dee...
5 > 0.
On the surface these numbers look good, but let's get to the meat of the issue, however.super_mario;858020; said:Yes, Michigan did much better last year. Secured: Webb (Da U), Van Bergen*
Not included: Everson**, Threet, Helmuth,
* - While talented, Purdue was his 2nd best offer.
** - Could have been part of 'lost', but his recruitment was a bit questionable.
