So. Somebody explain to me the play calling.

Is it forced by inexperience, or by scheme?

Both offensive and defensive play calling seem exactly the opposite of effective. And it's by choice.

The offensive play calling hasn't been that bad honestly. Dropped passes and players not executing has made it look worse than it is. No clue on defense though.

This team had 2 game breakers last year - one is in the NFL and one is on the sidelines with his shoulder in a sling from an injury originally happening in a meaningless bowl game.

I've given up having high hopes for this team, since Tressel left. So far, this coaching staff hasn't been getting it done anywhere but the recruiting trail. That's all I'm going to say.

I'm going to go with scheme, because I feel like the playbook isn't too much different than what we'd see with Braxton. The only difference is Braxton may have been able to keep a drive or two alive where JT can't.
