The defense played well enough to (nominally) give Ohio State a chance to win this game. There were situational lapses that made them ineffective late, but much of that can be attributed to being on the field for about 40 minutes of the game.

I get that. I never said they played bad, nor did I put this loss on them. But chances are the same exact late game situation where dUMb tries to run it down our throat in a close game happens next week. They will have to come up with somethin this time, and I think if dUMb runs for 200+, they very likely win. That was my point.

I get what you are saying, but anything can happen in football. It happened in 2007 when we lost to Illinois only to jump all the way back into the picture.

I'm in the minority, but I NEVER want to see the team back into contention, only to lose. I have no fond memories of the FL or LSU games.
Erased, as much as possible, from memory. I would rather have seen them go to a lesser bowl and win. Nobody celebrates the loser of NC games.

This will be unpopular... but I would be ok with Ed and Timmy moving on this offseason...

Ed needs to stick with the OL. Plenty of people are great position coaches but fail when asked to manage the entire offense (or team).

I do hope this game shows that Ed isn't ready for the big leagues and hope he continues to coach the O-Line. Timmy on the other hand; I hope he finds a new job.

Play calling didn't matter as Michigan State showed up to play and Ohio State didn't. That's the long and short of it.

I didn't see the defense stop a team with 2 backup QBs from running the ball. A lot.

There's a portion of our fan base who need a scapegoat and "playcalling" is as easy as it gets. That's allegedly the only flaw we had this season. You're not going to penetrate that.

The only thing that did upset me about the defense was the fact that msu scored both TDs on the immediate drives after the offense scored. Other than that, I blame any issues by the defense on the offenses inability to keep the defense on the sideline. I suppose questionable call design by the defense against the run, but mainly the defense was gassed after 55000 three and outs by the offense.

I agree 100% Disliked the Beck hire from the second it was announced. Just get Herman back by offering him HC-like money

This game has been coming all season. Anybody paying attention could see it. I really hope there is a real offensive coordinator brought in this offseason. Tim Beck has no business at an elite program like Ohio State. That was simply a catastrophic (for this season) hire.
