tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

Comparing this to games where the offense actually scored points is not a fair comparison to me. Defense was not the problem tonight.

Now if you want to talk about them letting TCUN burn 7 minutes and all of our time outs after getting within 3 with 8 minutes left, I'm totally with you.
agreed my comments were meant in totality of the season .... but it mighta come off as it was the ONLY issue tonight... my bad.

We need a culture change. Too many goody two shoes on these teams. Meters guys may have been borderline trouble but they were tough as nails on the field. This team is marshmallow soft!

Zach Smith tongue-in-cheek said this in an interview with Curtis Grant. That there’s no dogs on the team. Guys like Jalin Marshall that would knock someone silly on a block and talk shit over you, or a dlineman with a couple misdemeanors.

The offensive line is awful and we don't have a competent QB right now. Once Brown went down, we were in deeper trouble than when we started. Our defense is the only thing that kept that from being a blowout, unfortunately. They can't hold forever...

I think some things just have to be faced: We've whiffed on O line and QB recruiting and development in the past three cycles. I think the coaching blunders come because our staff is trying to get around not having the right players. I don't have the answers, but it starts with having better players in those areas.

Some of what Mizzou does up front on defense reminds me of the comments from the Miami players and coaches in 2002.

Obviously, Bucks were talented up front. But the biggest take away is that the Miami players said that the bullets did things up front that they weren't prepared for and began adjusting to WAY late.

We know now, with 20 years of history behind us, that Larry Coker and his staff were not quality coaches. Not quality developers of talent either.

I hate to be that guy, but my last Buckeye related football comment of 2023 will be to say, watching Day & Co sort of feels like that. Those Miami players talking about their coaches, on teams with massive talent but a subpar staff in charge of the team.

Yeah, but Coker was handed a powerhouse and slowly eroded it. Ryan Day was handed a...oh...never mind.

So the son of Derek McCord is suddenly a sage because he took his ball and went to Syracuse? Didn't have this spin on my bingo card 3 hours ago.
No, I just think he felt something. I mean most of all the players in the portal I see are leaving for lack of opp. But he was a STARTER. So he figured MJH was leaving and it was not going well? hell if I know. But that is odd and disappointing

I feel like the D-line is almost there, they just need depth so they can play fresh. Not sure that's coming anytime soon though.

The O-line is no where near our standards.
OL is BY FAR the biggest issue and makes it hard to evaluate Brown or Kienholz. I can count on one hand the number of times either had a clean pocket when they dropped back and still have fingers to spare. They still can’t run block for shit either. Day better be screaming at NIL collectives to get the best portal OLs money can buy. That’s easily the biggest Achilles heel this team has right now.

I can honestly say that I fucking hate this coaching staff... save BH.

This here is what I mean. Fans making their entire personality hating and mocking coaches and players.

Everyone is soft, gutless, toothless, pathetic. I know guys on here are smarter than this and can take a minute to look at what's going on instead of looking for who to blame. Maybe I'm a dumb sunshine pumper, but I want to spend time talking about the game and team, not seething and twisting the knife.
