tOSU vs Delaware State 2008

I went to the UD vs. Delaware St. game last night. I don't think OSU needs any additional scouting info but i figured I could pass along a little report.

1. Pressure their point guard #30 Marcus Neal with reckless abandon. He can't really dribble the ball. He had the ball stolen from him 5 consecutive times last night. He then flipped the bird to the student section and kept waiving his teammates off as if to say "please don't give me the ball" The student section boo'd his ass the remainder of the game. He is a total basketcase and I would love to see him melt down again tonight

2.see number 1.

OSU will win big, the only highlight i am looking forward to is Marcus Neal peeing his pants again. It was muy exelente.

Get there early
The ?matchup to watch? in the preview chart in today?s paper said to look for Ohio State?s defenders on the top of the zone defense to pressure Delaware State like they did Walsh last week and try to create offense off turnovers. I wrote that blindly, having not seen the Hornets play but having scanned their statistics from their first three games and knowing the skill levels of most Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference teams aren?t comparable to high-major Division I teams like those in the Big Ten.

Well, I just got a look at the box score from Delaware State?s 62-42 loss at Dayton last night. The Flyers had 14 steals, forced 25 turnovers and scored 30 points off of them. They ran away with the game early in the second half, just as Ohio State did against Walsh.

So don?t be late, either getting to St. John Arena or tuning in on Big Ten Network. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. and could be decided before 7:30.

I did will-call for my tickets for tonight's game and just got off the phone with Ticketmaster as well as The Schott and they both say the game is starting at 6:30. However, most of the tv listings are still saying the game is at 8:30?

Definitely 6:30. I suspect the BTN may just be showing it on tape-delay.

Less than 3 hours. :groove:

I'm particularly excited for this game since I've never seen a men's game at St. John.

I've been to several women's basketball games, many women's volleyball matches(:groove:), and one basketball game between the Bengals and the Browns back in the mid-80's.

Seeing a men's basketball game at St. John Arena will be awesome. I have seen many games over there in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.:groove2:
