Game Thread tOSU @ Virginia Tech, Sep 7 2015 @ 8pm ET, ESPN

It's easy to forget that last years game was tied up 21 all in the fourth quarter.
And we were starting a new QB.
An almost all new offensive line.
A running back who had broke his wrist in fall camp.
A completely new defensive style.

My niece, who hails from Delaware, chose to attend OSU this coming Fall...even though she had a ton of pressure from other members of her family to attend VA Tech. I can't wait for her to be able to rub her decision in their face.
:banger:

I also faced the same choice when deciding on college. I got accepted into tOSU's Scholars program and it was always my dream to go to Ohio State (my family is from Columbus), but Virginia Tech ended up being the much more logical option in the end and best fit for me. In-state tuition also didn't hurt...

Looking back, I wouldn't trade my 4 years in Blacksburg for anything. Football aside, it's a wonderful college town with tons of school spirit, a very active campus, and a great education. Your niece had two great options so either choice would have been a good one, but I gotta stick up for my alma mater! I really hope that many of you make it down to Blacksburg because I think that you'll find that our football cultures have a lot in common, albeit on a much smaller scale (and less trophies..).

As for the game itself, I don't have high expectations. I think that we cashed in all of our karma points last September, but Bud has a way of amping up his defense against big name opponents and Lane Stadium will be ROCKING on Labor Day night. Our offense is still very young and our o-line has a lot to prove but we have some pretty talented skill players. tOSU's overall talent is far superior, but I think that we can hang with the Buckeyes and at least make it a challenge.
