- Nigel Newkirk: Four-star Alabama commit from Georgia. He originally cancelled a scheduled June visit to Ohio State after committing to the Crimson Tide, but the Buckeyes are circling back.
- Trenard Roberts: Three-star Florida prospect playing at The Villages Charter School. Ohio State extended an early offer to him in June 2025 and maintains existing familiarity.
- Senior Film Evaluation: The coaching staff will heavily scout uncommitted high school seniors during the upcoming season to identify late risers.
- The Transfer Portal: If high school options fall through, Ohio State will heavily rely on the winter transfer portal. They have a history of portal success at the position, most notably landing Quinshon Judkins in the past.
