Just sayin': Not a bad class at all. It probably would have been nice to get another RB; but, there is always the transfer portal.

In the 'good old days', the MAC teams were close to B10, on the first 11, but the second 11 wasn't even close. And, if memory serves, Indiana was the place where the Ohio kids went that weren't picked up by tOSU. Well, things have changed. Cignetti must have some secret sauce, to get Indiana playing at the level where they are playing, maybe NIL (?). Anyway, believe it's the same scenario. There ones are playing at a high level, player stars notwithstanding, but am pretty certain their twos are way behind our twos. Do believe it'll be a closer than expected game, (or a rout), and when players get gassed, Sayin will look at the clean uniform, and pick on them. (Yes, I realize game is on fake grass), just an euphonism. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Go Bucks. Step one to a repeat is upon us.

A big chunk of the secret sauce is that the team has a ridiculous amount of experience and the other component is staff continuity. As both of those things dissipate, we’ll see IU revert to something quite a bit closer to, but likely not all the way back to, their historical mean depending on how aggressively and successfully they can upgrade their talent.

Okay, I thought they both went elsewhere. So, I get it now

They had 2 top 100 players in the composite

Ohio State had 6

12 of their 27 are rated above 500th nationally compare to 9 of 27 for Ohio State. Our 3 stars are definitely better quality than theirs too if you compare offer lists and film (guys like Boyd, Fahey and McKinley are 3 stars in the composite)

Put playing with your HS running mate, an all world WR coach, and a respectful bag of loot, and then on the other hand, losing the all world WR coach, and a bigger bag of loot, but staying closer to home, (no winter), and it makes sense for him. Also, given USC's weak bench of WRs, KDW may have an earlier chance to shine. Good luck to the young man.

Portal interest signals a clear plan
Early reporting suggests Ohio State is already doing its homework. According to Gators Online reporter Zach Abolverdi, the Buckeyes have expressed interest in Florida running back Jadan Baugh, who rushed for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns during his true sophomore season.
Baugh fits the profile Ohio State typically targets in the portal. Productive at the Power Five level, physically ready for Big Ten play, and capable of contributing immediately without stunting the development of younger players.

Ohio State hoping major transfer portal target returns home, top 2027 RB sets commitment date

The Buckeyes hoping to right some previous recruiting wrongs as an Ohio native enters the transfer portal.

Ohio State facing ‘must-have’ portal target

Ohio State’s current roster is loaded, and the fortunate part is that the Buckeyes will have a ton coming back in 2026 to make another strong run. Still, the coaching staff is always looking to improve certain areas of the roster, and the transfer portal offers them the best chance at doing so.
Seen the past couple of seasons, Ohio State has been able to land some elite level players to further improve their team, and Thursday’s news of Penn State defensive end Chaz Coleman planning to enter the portal is right on par with the type of player they are looking for.
An Ohio native that simply put the Buckeyes were too late on during his prep recruitment, Coleman chose to stick with his commitment to Penn State even with Ohio State pushing late. After his true freshman season he is looking to head elsewhere, and that of course has the Buckeyes linked all over to this latest update for a multitude of reasons.
One of the premier edge rushers in the country as a freshman, Ohio State knows this is a player they could have done a better job with while he was still in high school, but having a second chance to right their wrongs looks to be in the works. Always a position of need, he would immediately improve the roster and provide depth you cannot have enough of.
The coaching staff knows the abilities Coleman has, and they felt that this year when he made several plays against the Buckeyes in Penn State’s favor. With the amount of smoke and rumors already circling this transfer news, it will be a surprise of Ohio State is not the end destination.
Right now they are very much the clear favorite. It’s time to bring one of Ohio’s best back home and the full court press is about to begin for Coleman.

I really like Isaiah West and don’t think we would need to add a star in the portal.

Of course you go after the best available, but Bo and Isaiah is a nice pair to have.
I agree with that. You have 2 true frosh who are showing early signs of stardom, love to see them progress together. With or without People’s, that still leaves Turbo, Akih and Bey. That’s still a loaded backfield imo
