did we drop from 3rd to 6th in the rankings???? even after all the spatulas we've busted out?Remember when some people were panicking that we were going to fall behind Michigan in recruiting and finish outside of the top 10? That's not aging well.

I'm sure they are and you get concerned any time that happens, especially with the home team throwing the bag. I'm not so sure USC is really the fast lane to playing time for KDW over us. Yeah we've recruited week but he'll walk in the door with some mix of top WRs going pro and the inevitable transfer(s) for those players that can read between the lines at the end of spring ball. At worst he probably sees the field with only 1 year of Smith left (or none), same goes for Innis, and who knows on Tate. Then you have potential transfers or guys that a player like KDW should compete with or pass on the depth chart. Staying home could win the day, but I don't see competing for PT in his first year or two being an issue.Looks like USC is throwing a bag swing at KDW. They can sell a easier path to early playing time too. I guess if there's one position it doesn't hurt to get poached on its WR but still stinks.
There will eventually be downfield college selection impacts with this decision. Not against the ruling, just being honest about both sides of the coin.
You may be surprised.....it's actually gotten very big in Florida. There are public school teams importing a majority of the roster from surrounding areas. Most highschool kids aren't getting crap. It'll only be the best player on the team in small towns and D1 recruits elsewhere. Unless you consider a hundo for a shout-out.
I think you’ll see kids getting a few hundred for social media posts. Kids won’t be getting rich, but for many this could just replace having a PT job. Post a tik tok vid about Lou’s pizza in Springfield, post an IG reel about Sugar n Spice or Camp Washington chili in Cincinnati get a few hundred and free foodMost highschool kids aren't getting crap. Yeah I could see that. And of course the towns in texas that spend multimullions on football fields will throw some real money around but otherwise it's going to be kids getting a few thosand at most of being the star on the team.I think you’ll see kids getting a few hundred for social media posts. Honestly it's very smart for small, local businesses. Especially in smaller towns. A business in Akron is going to have easier access to get a HS athlete to film an ad than it would a Browns player. And in some of these towns the HS athletes are more famous than the college ones. Im sure there's a number of Elder, Moeller, St X, Princeton, etc athletes in Cincinnati that would be more recognized than many UC athletes.Yeah I could see that.
