I dunno. Once kids see Toledo and lock in, that’s a tough pull.11W Forums

Per Walker, Ohio State is closely monitoring three in-state flip targets.
Louisville commit TE Nick Lautar.
Indiana commit LB Ja'Dyn Williams.
Toledo commit OT Preston Dazey.
Ohio State hosted all three at the game this past weekend.
Barton was a bit slimey - to put it kindly - but he could talk ball, had historical and current inside knowledge of the program as a player and coach, and knew the OSU booster/collective/recruiting game well. B Moses is just a hype man that's a fan of the team. He can't tell you anything you don't know, so what's the point of him having an Ohio State football podcast? Other than to continue the BS grift......has been more enjoyable to watch/listen to since Barton was replaced by B. Moses)
In addition to DE, I think they have to find another CB. If they find ones they like as a late riser, you might see another RB and LB
I stand corrected on LB. I forgot that Arvell Reese is NFL draft eligible at seasons end. And the way he's playing, he could possibly go in the 1st 2-3 rounds. Would OSU increase his NIL deal to keep him? That no one knows yet. But it would make sense for JL to start entertaining other LBs in the 2026 class. So the interest in the LB from Massillon makes sense.I agree on another CB, losing DI and Zo and possibly even Matthews. I don't see another RB with getting 3 in '25, and OSU can easily pull 1 from the Portal if need be(next year could see: Jackson, Peoples, West, Rogers and Akih in the room). I also don't see them pursuing another LB for the same reason as RB. Big class in the previous cycle and only losing minimal guys. Since the LBs are pretty much interchangeable, they only lose Styles. They only play usually 2, and rotate 3. But they will have 6 returning, and that's without the 3 frosh.
Now all of this can change due to the Portal of course. But as of now LB, RB, WR, TE, QB, and S are all loaded. Can never have enough OL, and another DE is definitely needed.

Funny thing about RB is, I forgot all about SWD in my previous post, I only included Peoples, the 3 true frosh and Akih. I see 2 in 2027(1 being DGG and another being a lower rated).Yea, I mentioned LB because they seemed to be chasing one aggressively.(i.e. Scheduling an OV for the Curry kid from Florida and the recent interest in Williams) JL is rumored to be visiting Williams this Friday. If true he might be closing in on an offer.
RB was just pure speculation on my part. With five in the room from the 24 and 25 classes, I was looking at the potential for one or two of them to enter the portal.(especially Dixon who already tried to bolt once.) Add in the potential of Georges being the only back in the 27 class (due to NIL limitations) I thought it may make sense to taking another one in 26 if you could find one you like. But I think you're right, the portal may be a better solution to that problem.

From everything I've read, they expect Caldwell to play LB. But it all depends on how he grows. But it seems like OSU is attempting to flip players, and Bing from MD is the 2nd S they're attempting to flip in 2 days.Back into the pure speculation department, but given that we seem to be chasing LB's and CB's, but not S, I think it is possible that OSU expects Caldwell to stay at S (al least to start).
