2026 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

A (likely) draftable baseball recruit. Probably leaning towards the baseball route at the moment.

That’s the word I get from my Moeller friends.

Oh I know, that been the discussion this season regarding Ponatowski. But he has gone on record saying that an offer from OSU would change things... I can still see him choosing baseball in the end, but the decision will be tougher than many thought

Not to mention the MLB linage, from junior, Buddy and David Bell, Barry Larkin, and others.

Didn't have an offer and can't blame him for that decision. Being in SoCal for 3-5 years as a college kid has to be a blast regardless of whether USC turns it around or not. I visited with my dad back in '06 and remember thinking that if I had the choice, I would pick OSU but USC would be really tempting. I was nowhere near having that choice to make though lol. Hopefully the kid has a good career out there.

With the Portal, if he plays good enough he could be a Buckeye in a year or 2

Nike's Next Ones event chooses a top player to represent an NFL team. TSC represented the Cincinnati Bengals in '25, and for '26 Adam Guthrie has been chosen. Cleveland Browns chose Trey McNutt in '25 and Elbert Hill in '26
