2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

https://247sports.com/Player/Trey-Cornist-46131415/

Figured I'd put this in the open thread, as it's more to do with Jermaine wanting OSU to pursue Cornist even though he's a GA Tech.
Had a massive game last week against Anderson(Cincinnati, OH)- 18car 343yds 6TDs. This past Friday he had- 27car 123yds TD against a hard fought Kings team.
Could be our next Miyan Williams, and sign along with Fletcher. It would ease some pressure for the 2024 class and allow Alford to continue to shoot for the home run RBs in '24

Best in class
Ohio State

b39eecfa03ccf5ea3b6990d030750d22

Brandon Inniss at the Ohio State-Notre Dame game on Sept. 3.
Commitments: WR Brandon Inniss (American Heritage-Plantation), WR Carnell Tate (IMG), WR Bryson Rodgers (Wiregrass Ranch)

The Buckeyes' haul at receiver this cycle is stunning. Inniss (No. 4) and Tate (No. 10) are the top two receivers in the state on the USA Today Florida Network Top 100. All three are elite playmakers and have the ability to line up inside or outside.

Per Birm on Rivals:

Keeley- I still say in, I know I'm on an island.
Wilson - in but not finished yet.
Uiagalelei - Out
A Carter - Out but ask me again if he makes his OV.
McDonald - I will say in but the kid is a total toss-up.

That's pretty much the list from here but Buckeyes aren't going to stop trying to get Samson Okunlola to town for an OV.

Now I believe him to be the best OSU insider in the business, but from his info, and the other OSU recruiting analysts I think I’m siding with others and thinking that MU and Wilson are in the this class. Birm is going with his gut, and I’m going with mine and fine with being wrong. Carter is most likely going to Bama, but McDonald I truly have no clue on

TOVANIO TO TAKE OFFICIAL VISIT TO OSU
A 2023 four-star cornerback with an Ohio State offer is close to making a decision. Texas prospect Javien Toviano told On3 he’s “near” making a decision but will wait until he completes his official visits. He’s already taken officials to LSU and Michigan in June, has confirmed he’ll take an official visit to Ohio State and Oregon and will decide between Texas and Texas A&M for his final trip. Tovanio told the recruiting network he knows in his head where he wants to be but wants to do his due diligence.

Where OSU is concerned, he’s still trying to figure out the best date to visit with Perry Eliano and Tim Walton, but the pair of OSU assistants are trying to get him on campus for the Nov. 26 contest against Michigan.

“Me and coach Walton, coach Eliano, we’ve been going back and forth on which is the best date,” Tovanio told On3. “Whether it’s the Michigan week or it’s the whatever. We’re trying to find that fine line and agree with something. I think we’ll be able to get something planned out pretty soon. As you see, they’re a top-rated program in the country right now. Top 4 program in the country. I think that’s self-explanatory. Definitely a campaign I want to play for. Going into the Big 10 with Michigan is attractive as well.”

Though anything can change on an official visit, it’s unlikely Tovanio ends up picking OSU in the end. Reading between the lines, Toviano seems to be favoring LSU, especially considering he has received two Crystal Ball projections for the Tigers as of September.
