2020 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Interesting that Bijan predicted Flowe to Ohio State. I think he’s a long shot, at best, but interesting nonetheless.

I really wish Breese would not have committed so early. I think the longer he went, the better chance Ohio State had to get back in on him. He’s a man-child! And it looks like he has the athleticism and technique that will translate to the next level. He’s a combination of JJ Watt and Ndamakong Suh. Sigh......

the mystery remains to me how the hell scUM is rated that damn high with all those 2 and 3 stars?
Quantity. 247sports goes many times by the number of commits. That’s how Miami has been a top 3 class early in the process for the past few years (including 2021) by getting more commits than anyone else early on. But everyone who pays attention to recruiting knows that the average recruit ranking means more than anything.

A lightly reported fact, 2 of those 3 schools were named in FBI wiretaps discussing paying players

hmm

I looked at it the other day after the Mob Move and OSU was still ahead but who knows.

If they did pass OSU, it lasted a few hours. Maybe a day.
After 247 updated the rankings to include the Simon commit, we were a few tenths of a point behing Georgia. Aftr the Henry commit we're just short of nine points ahead of them, so we got about 10 points for the Henry commit and I'd imagine we got a similar amount from the earlier Simon commit (which would've had us behind scUM, ND, and Florida. Either way, by the time we get our next five commits we'll be so far ahead everyone but Clemson, Bama, LSU (maybe), and UGA.
