tOSU Recruiting Discussion

247 has that list of all time recruits, ranking them starting with Terrelle Pryor being the best recruit Ohio State has ever landed.

I like to look at the top 50 players and see how many are in a 3 class stretch. Idk why, I just feel that it kinda gives a good idea of the amount of talent on a team. Now obviously it’s not an exact science since you have underrated players and players who don’t live up to their rankings. But, the ‘16, ‘17, and ‘18 classes had 8 of Ohio State’s top 50 recruits of all time. So the 2019 team was obviously very talented, as we saw!

I say that to say this...if my theory is accurate, the 2022 Buckeyes are going to be insanely good! So far, the ‘19, ‘20, and ‘21 classes have a combined 11 players in Ohio State’s top 50 recruits of all time. If they add JTT and Emeka, that would give them 13. Technically 13 in the top 51 since it would bump Donovan Jackson out. So I’m calling it now...2022 will be the greatest Buckeye team of all time! So much talent!

Bahahaha... plus we will finally have a system that allows these 5 star QBs to learn for over a full year before starting. Just wait B1G if you thought the last 10 years were unkind to you it's about to get so much worse for you.

We are no doubt bringing in a different kind of talent on offense. We always recruited defense well and had some good players on offense but IMO Day's reputation (rightfully so) is driving kids to OSU on offense too.
