Has that ever happened before in a single class?
Has a team ever won a game before by only kicking field goals?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I believe Jersey would have much better talent if we had the same college-level quality HS coaches Ohio has.. IMO we only have a handful of elite HS coaches.. so again, IMO I think this is why we 'produce' speed 'talent' vs overall position talent...OH10;2353636; said:I'm really surprised by the amount of top-end talent in New Jersey...
Lousiana, alabama, mississippi and Georgia are starting to catch up to florida, cali and texas as far as talent.
Bill Lucas;2353656; said:Yes and no.
Georgia has the population base and has been putting out great numbers for a long time. Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi have great per capita numbers but don't have the population base to compete with Florida, Texas, California, Ohio and Georgia in terms of raw number of D1 prospects.
bigdog3300;2353665; said:Agreed, except Louisiana is different than all those as they consistently have the best talent per capita. It's a hot bed, especially for DL. They usually always carry more 5* talent each year, especially this year when you look at Fournette (who has been raved about by regional scouts there for 5 years, yes, 5), Robinson, Gerald Willis, etc.
Per capita, I think FL/CA surprise and not in a good way.
When it comes to coaching, I think OH/TX always stand out from the rest, but others have been steadily improving, most notably GA. I used to work for a southern based recruiting site so I got a good feel for southern talent & staffs down there.
pnuts34;2353666; said:Ohio and texas have the coaching, but when I lived in austin, it seemed the coaches were paid on a higher scale and given the best facilities that schools and towns in ohio can't afford or won't put the same funds towards the football programs. It still baffles me that Allen, tx has a $60m stadium. Imo, you'd never see that in ohio or any other state
I also forgot to mention tennessee in the conversation with alabama, mississippi and louisiana as putting out a lot of top talent now
