I'm not sure if Burrows was an early commit, but he's only a true freshman.I only included Meyer recruits.
Gotcha, sometimes I have reading comprehension problems....I only included Meyer recruits.
Burrows was ranked #12 at his position by Scout. That made him the 5th highest rated DB under Meyer and I only went with 4.I'm not sure if Burrows was an early commit, but he's only a true freshman.
Just cause I like to play with the numbers (and not to place too much stock in the rankings) I took a look at the defensive recruiting since Meyer has come on board. Next season we could field a D that included:
DL - Washington, Spence, Bosa and Schutt
average rank at their position 3.5
LB - Mitchell, Berger and McMillan
average rank at their position 3.3 (2 if Scout rated McMillan appropriately)
DB - Reeves, Apple, Bell and Webb
average rank at their position 6.25
And FWIW, we could field a second team LB group of Perry, Booker and Hubbard
with an average rank at their position of 6.7
And for anybody who thinks Meyer is too offensive oriented, the numbers on the other side of the ball don't come close to this.
Best guess on how we close? With 19 in and 22 as the number I have seen it would seem that it is:
Lattimore
Smith
Solomon
With the early enrollees, is 22 the number?Best guess on how we close? With 19 in and 22 as the number I have seen it would seem that it is:

Assuming the 2 Tarblooders are in, who will be the other 2 in your best guess?I think the number ends up at 23.
Care to guess?I think the number ends up at 23.
