Bell to tOSU is certainly the trend according to the Rival's predictions. They've gone from 2/8 having the Buckeyes to 4/8 in a matter of 24 hours (3/8 have Tennessee and 1 has Bama). I feel like this is the opposite of Quick in that we have all the momentum heading into his announcement.

The score is now tied: Tennessee 4, tOSU 4.

Saban loses. That alone feels good.

Can he play receiver?

Well here we go again: Another NLOID and for the avid followers on this board, it might as well be Christmas Eve. Come to think of it, that is absolute heresy...I get nowhere near this excited for Christmas anymore. All the hard work of the staff as documented by all the hard work of the mods and other regular contributors here culminates into a 20+ group of kids that will become men at OSU over the next 4-5 years after they sign the dotted line. As each fax comes in, it cements their name on our roster and from there, each young man will look to cement his name in OSU lore for years to come.

As the day wears on, it is critical that we all (present company included) realize that no matter how frustrating or triumphant each decision may be, the 2013 class will be defined by the young men who will be Buckeyes, not those who will not. This class is already phenomenal and nearly unparalleled in recent years, so let's all remember that no matter what happens. With all that being said, here are the most intriguing storylines to follow for us in my eyes:

1) Ezekiel Elliott: His decision is the most interesting to me and the one I have the most emotional stock in. Most of us have followed EzE closely since his early commitment and have watched him progress as a complete and electric player, steadily moving up the rankings as the year went along. He zealously recruited for us, playing a critical role in Mike Mitchell's great spike in interest in OSU and eventual commitment. Now there is some serious rethinking it appears, whether it be due to the Wilson commitment or thoughts of playing for his parent's alma matter. Though we are more than fine at the RB position, it would really hurt to lose Elliott from both a talent and integrity perspective: Elliott is a fantastic kid and leader, on top of being a great talent. I really would hate to see him anywhere but OSU.

2) Vonn Bell: Bell's recruitment has been an old fashioned tug-of-war. I am very intrigued by what Bell does tomorrow morning but considering the fact that I have not put much emotional stock in his recruitment due to the perpetually changing nature of it (or due to my well-progressed recruiting pessimism on NLOID from the Tressel era), EzE staying put is more important to me. That being said, Bell is a true 5* talent and one that could have an early impact at a position that has not been as strong recently. Kid really is the full package and seems to come from a fantastic family. Not to mention the fact that it would be nice to steal one from SEC country that Saban really wanted. Finally, he just has that confidence and sheer athletic ability to dominate back there. At the end of the day, I think he does not end up at OSU despite all the recent good vibes but maybe that residual NLOID pessimism is overriding UFM's known penchant to snag major OOS guys late in the last minute (see Dontre Wilson).

3) James Clark: This perhaps might be the most interesting storyline to follow from a simple shock value. Urban comes in and offers Clark with less than a month to go until NLOID, gets him from contemplating a visit to stepping off a plane onto Columbus turf, and now appearing to be leaning to the good guys. Now this has happened in the past to the Florida prospect that has offers only from mid-tier or bottom-tier teams. However, Clark has his pick of schools and we got in the game super late comparatively...yet we still look in great shape to get his signature. On top of that, the kid has one of the more impressive WR films I have seen from a "wow" perspective. Speed to burn and adds another true WR to Corey Smith if this comes to fruition. Clark and Smith outside, Marshall and Wilson inside? Oh and Baugh at TE? YES. PLEASE.

4) Taivon Jacobs: I want to preface this by saying I truly want to see Jacobs in this class. Good kid and I really do think he is a great talent. Despite all the hoopla, you've got to think the Wilson commitment and potentially impending Clark commitment is influencing this decision heavily (whether he is being shown the door or simply does not want to come into a crowded WR/ATH position). It will be very interesting to see what he does.

5) Urban discussing the new Buckeyes on ESPN: Really curious to see which player he really loves talking about. To me (just going off what I know about our commits), I think he will gush over Wilson on the offensive side of the ball and Bosa on the defensive side. Wilson is obviously the type of playmaker Urban has been after, hence his perpetual pursuit of Wilson all through the year. As for Bosa, I just think his competitive drive and work ethic is going to be up there with Simon...and we all know how UFM feels about Simon. Shoot, Joey wouldn't let Urban beat him in ping pong. Other candidates are Marshall, Elliott, Mitchell, Burrows, and Bell(?).

6) 2014 chatter immediately after: Usually you see a flurry of activity right after NLOID for the junior class (presumably coaches asking them to hold off on going public until the ink dries for new prospects). There are a few guys I would keep a commitment watch on in the coming week, mostly our Georgia guests coming up this weekend and maybe Trout.

7) Watching other signing day shockers: As always, there are a ton of commitments going on to other teams we care about (or hate). Namely, it will be interesting to see if Poggi flips from scUM to Bama. Personally, I never want to see talent leave the Big Ten for the SEC, even if it saddens scUM nation. Personally, I don't care what happens in the SEC unless players do not pick Bama.

8) Trey Johnson: Put this so low because I think there is almost zero chance of him flipping, but you never know on NLOID. I'm not concerned at all and stand with Wade here.

Let this sink in good Buckeye faithful: Urban closes the class with Smith>Wilson>Clark>Bell. Every single one of these guys is elite in my eyes. Forget about the fact that Smith is a JUCO player - he is a stud. If finishing with these 4 doesn't cement Urban's status as the all time great closer I don't know what does. To take a GREAT class and finish off with these 4 is breathtaking.

I don't care what the rankings say, this class is the best in the country without a doubt. Every area of need is addressed with flying colors. The only spot that is a little light is OT but I have a feeling that the ones we have are going to overachieve with coach Warriner.

The party starts today and ends with a championship next January!!!

Does anyone think there is any chance that Elder also joins this class? I think he's a great talent, but I think that banking any remaining scholarships would be the thing to do at this point even if we could make room for him.

no, there aren't any remaining schollies, OSU is currently at 83 (assuming EzE still signs)

He's been pretty low key AFAIK. I do know that he has delayed his decision and wont sign today.
