Game Thread tOSU @ Penn State, Oct 25th @ 8pm ET, ESPN

Yes, and a mighty win it was over Penn State. Quick, when was the last time our Buckeyes beat a really good team?

That's the problem, but keep dreaming of that crystal trophy in January. I'll hope you're right.
That is the problem. All of this press about the explosive offense but it has been against poor competition. Ohio State really wilted in the second half. It is a good win for lots of reasons, not the least of which is character building for the youngsters. They also pulled together at the end in one of the most hostile places to play. Enjoy it and hope our favorite team learns from it.

This coaching staff continues to puzzle me. UFM can't be happy with that performance. Not sure what can be done, but the coaching is as much to blame as anything for this close call. This PSU team has, what, 46 scholarship players on it?

Happy with the win, but...
Honestly when the coaches and the players talk about not over looking PSU that concerned me. Because when we talk like that you KNOW THEY ARE.

The defense kept this game close, and JT Barrett, despite all of his struggles willed this team to a win. It won't go down as the prettiest performance, but is was up there on the "gutsiest" rankings.

And this feels a million times better than blowing them out by 50. Feed them some false hope, then yank the rug out from under them. A little help from the officials early on? Fucking boner time.

Devil's advocate to that post: If you can't enjoy only 3 losses in 2.5 seasons, at what point will you be satisfied?

I want to win the next 10 NCs and have JTB be the first 4X Heisman winner, but I'm going to enjoy the success we have, even when I fully admit we are a flawed team.

One thing I liked was JT on the headset talking to the coaches in the booth during the 4th down sack. Instead of being a spectator he was preparing for the next series (or else ordering a pizza, knowing the defense was going to hold).
On the what? Not familiar.

Couldn't agree more with the bold part.

Kinda' puts shit in perspective...

Lemme put it to you THiS way... You could be in MY freaking shoes, with a clueless coaching staff, DC who needs "Defense for Dummies," etc..
