One thing I liked was JT on the headset talking to the coaches in the booth during the 4th down sack. Instead of being a spectator he was preparing for the next series (or else ordering a pizza, knowing the defense was going to hold).

Penn State is a crap offense, ranking outside the top 100. They put 17 points on in the second half, playing even with Ohio State on TOP. They made it look way too easy in the first OT. This one is on everyone, especially the O coaching staff.

True, but the D was on the field the whole game and was absolutely exhausted by that point. Even including overtime they only allowed 21 points and <100 rushing yards.

I'm honestly encouraged - it could have been SO much worse if our D wasn't light-years improved since last year. This was a tough-fought defensive battle that I'm glad we came out ahead on - takes me back to the good ol' days.

Even better than that -- only 17 points and 7 of those were on a 50/50 jump ball into the endzone. The game-tying drive was the most disheartening -- especially with the penalty and dropped INT.

Gave up 10 in 4 quarters and got no rest in second half. Maybe not an A+, but definitely a passing grade in my book.
