Game Thread tOSU @ Penn State, Oct 25th @ 8pm ET, ESPN

As much as I'm going to hate this comparison, I'm hoping the defense comes out playing like the Steelers played for much of the early to mid 2000's.

Maybe not go as crazy as they used to. But plenty of blitzing.

We've put up 38 and 35 points our last two trips there (14 of the 38 in 2010 and 7 of the 35 in 2012 were from pick sixes IIRC). We put up 63 on them last year in The Shoe with what now could be argued a lesser offense (would not have said that at the beginning of the year). I don't see why we can't put up 40+ easily on that defense, and hopefully go over 50 point for the fifth straight game.

2009 was at Penn State, with Ohio State winning 24-7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Ohio_State_Buckeyes_football_team
2010 was in Columbus, with Ohio State winning 38-14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Ohio_State_Buckeyes_football_team That was the game that Penn State was winning at halftime - 14-10 or 14-7 or something. I remember the one pick-6 by Torrence. Who made the other one?

Edit: Travis Howard had the second.

I'm really hoping we can get back to a 2010 tOSU style of defense soon. That was a fun defense to watch---very stout and fundamentally sound, but also capable of making the big play.
