Defense looks great so far. No big plays and on MD's lone TD drive, they made them earn it. I still hold my breath every time they take the field though, so here's hoping they ball just as hard in the second half.

Like Spielman said, we need to see a lot more jamming at the line when we are playing man coverage. I am not sure why we aren't.

Overall, good half!

Honestly when you have 3 receivers as good as Maryland you can play them tight but if you bump and FAIL then you're fucked. Our approach is fine IMO

That's the Randy Edsel I remember from UConn days. His best assist is Locksley, the former Illinois assistant and New Mexico(major screw up) head coach. Terps like a gimmick offense. Lots of screens. Not much of a run game.

I've been pretty disappointed with the defense thus far this year. But I agree with the poster above that stated that Maryland had to earn their lone TD. There were a few defensive lapses but otherwise a pretty good effort for a team still very much learning and growing. If they keep this up, they will have shown steady improvement. Much to like in that.

I am talking about when you play them tight and don't bump them at all. I don't think we should play them tight every time, but when we do, we need to get physical. It's a problem we've had the whole season. If you are going to play bump and run, you need to actually bump lol.
