The Boar Hunter......

Just got back from the game with my son and have not gone through each thread yet post by post......

But I have to say that the Boar Hunter is just outstanding....on a bum knee he is flat out kicking some a$$...Schlegal and Wilhelm are the best Mikes the buckeyes have had in a long, long time.....

No offense to MDA, but you have to wonder how the Boar Hunter wasnt starting from the get-go with MDA moving around to wreak havoc....

man i love watching schlegal play.....

not to be disrespectful lloyd...but i think it had more to do with tressel and his siding with his guys....

weeks ago carpenter and hawk were asked by spielman who they most looked up to/admired on the defense.....and both immediately said the Boar Hunter.....

D'Andrea was actually the better MLB when he was healthy. Schlegel seemed hesitant early in the season because he wasn't used to the Big Ten style of ball, plus being out of actual game play for two years. That being said, Schlgel has been making marked improvement week to week, and will be a killer next year.

No, that's the injury to D'Andrea.

The defensive line has shown improvement on discipline and responsibility over the last two games. The performance of that unit has direct correlation with the success of the Mike.
I will agree to agree that that could be the reason he's doing better. But I still stand by my statement that he wasn't playing as well as D'Andrea to start the year.

I definatly see Tressel siding with people instead of kids getting fair shots. I mean it doesn't happen often, and its not extreamly noticeable but I see it sometimes. Also Anthony is an awesome Linebacker I knew this from watch'n him at Air Force. Especially when he played Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech.

Did anybody else see when Schlegel just blew through the O-line and got the sack? I was at the game, so I didn't get to see the replay, but it appeared as though Robinson was trying to hand it off but got tackled before he could do so! Anthony played GREAT today.

I thought Schlegel played a great game. Hawk seemed quiet but he ended up with 13 tackles. Carpenter had only a few. The word on Schlegel is that he's great against the run but not so great against the pass. Great to see him improving. Still, if we don't start doing better against the run and getting pressure on the QB, we are in trouble the next few weeks.
