tOSU Indiscretions of May (Mega Merge)

When I posted this in another thread I thought it was a JOKE. :roll2:

Actually... this is all starting to feel like one... but really not funny. (Edit: all right, Oh8ch's link is kinda funny.)

"Nothing good happens after 10 p.m." - Haven't we heard that before?

It does make you wonder why Schafer was still fighting the guy after being warned twice to knock it off. I guess being drunk and 21 led to a poor decision.

This will result in some more angst for the boards, but probably only a 1-game suspension (assuming the charges aren't dropped) along with a long stay in the doghouse.

It really doesn't seem like the effort to raise the academic standards for our incoming players has had the positive affect that the administration would have hoped for.Maybe there is some new standard test we need our players to take before acceptance. Is there a common sense test out there??????

At this time- We are a laughing stock :mad2:

Okay for all of the "English/grammar Nazis" out there :wink2: Where does that phrase come from? People in the stocks being humiliated? Just curious......
I am no English Grammar Nazi (as my frequent typos attest), however, I can lead you back to the origin in writing for this phrase.

Like so many evocative portmanteau words and phrases this one came from the quill of William Shakespeare --
Meaning

An object of derision.

Origin

From Shakespeare's Merry Wives of Windsor.

SIR HUGH EVANS [Aside to DOCTOR CAIUS] Pray you let us not be
laughing-stocks to other men's humours; I desire you
in friendship, and I will one way or other make you amends.
Here endeth the etymology lesson for the day.
Let us all hope the Buckeye team learns from their errors in May.

Yes -- these type of tests are used in Executive circles.

When I played we had a couple week run with a few guys getting in trouble....

The ENTIRE team was rewarded with a 10 p.m. curfew (7 nights a week) for the next 30 days.....and the ENTIRE team ran every morning at 6 a.m. for two weeks straight....the only guys that didn't run were the four guys that got in trouble.....they had to watch their teammates run....

think the few guys that got in trouble ever did anything wrong again?
