Game Thread tOSU at USC, Sat. Oct. 31st, 7:30 pm ET, NBC

this

USC is a different team in LA

Edit: or so I thought until I actually looked into it. After typing that I had to ask myself what I based that belief on. I realized I’d heard it repeated by a lot of media members, but it wasn’t based on more than that. I don’t have more than numbers to go on, but the numbers do not support USC being significantly better at home.

It is still highly doubtful that an aberration like their performance in Madison will be repeated on Saturday
Good to see you again friend!

Neither FPI nor Massey have changed there probabilities of victory for the Buckeyes as a result of Sayin’s injury. Perhaps a few points, but not what I would expect. I posted on this in the Fahey thread… seemed like the best place for it.

What I did not say in that thread is that it costs them nothing to just keep their model more or less where it is and then adjust once they’ve seen Fahey play. But there is a group that none of that applies to; of course I mean the guys who have built steel and glass palaces in the desert. Vegas has not moved the line on this game since before the Sayin injury.

What gives? Is it a coincidence that the Trojans laid a massive egg in Madison on the same day as the injury? That doesn’t seem to be it… they haven’t moved the lines on Ohio State’s other games either. Seems … odd
