This wasn’t even a tenth as bad as the loss to Michigan in 2024, and he and the team figured shit out. It is only the 2nd early season loss they’ve had, though. 3 of the last 4 years they’ve waited until the issue was forced to make changes and tough decisions. My hope is that this sets that into motion much faster.

Burn the tape, move forward, and start working on solutions.

If you just look at the L sure. I think people are downplaying the type of psychological effect an all time 4th quarter big lead blowing choke job can have though . Especially for an already inexperienced team

The defense that was played tonight cannot be more than a changeup going forward. You never let a struggling QB get back to rhythm and that's exactly what happened tonight.

Arch is literally known for folding under pressure hell we saw it in the 1st half and completely went away from it. Criminal once again

To me, this loss sits squarely on Patricia's shoulders. Rush 3, drop 8, the entire 4th quarter. Game over.

I think the constant rotations hurt them on both sides of the ball, and if they can tighten those up, it will help. The last time I remember them substituting that liberally on defense is ‘21 Minnesota.

There were a lot of odd things - like on obvious passing downs I would have had Kenyatta going off the edge more, yet he was dropping into coverage...it was very odd.

Kenyatta in coverage was definitely Patricia thinking he was playing 4D chess and it would confuse Arch. Infuriating and shouldn't have happened more than once.

While I understand blaming the coaching staff for overall success; the QB is supposed to lead the team not just run plays. Manning made it happen. Sayin depended on the coaches. Now, this is just my opinion because I never liked Sayin from the start.

I think the design of the offense doesn't utilize our best player in Smith to his absolute fullest because Sayin isn't a good deep ball thrower. I think Sayin basically limits this offense. Smith and the other WRs were recruited to play one style which was basically a lot more about stretching the field and Sayin basically takes that out of the equation.

While I wouldn't say Sayin was the problem tonight. I do think if we had a better fit at QB to the other talent the offense would have more explosive plays and a higher ceiling. Sayin would fit better in an offense full of players that are great at getting YAC. Legend Bey might need to be incorporated more to help but since Day has been here the shifty YAC receivers haven't been a priority in recruiting. Route running and speed is what Day have looked for at WR. Without being able to stretch the field, the other WRs have to deal with a compressed field and Smith's talent doesn't open up the offense like it should.
