I didn’t jump off any band wagon and I’m not now.
Just stating the obvious here… we blew it. The biggest choke job as a buckeye fan for me and we blew it.
Now we are staring at how many top 10 games?
As I said last year, before this year and now again… we should NOT be playing these games non conference.
We aren’t going to get grace when if we have a 9-3 record. It won’t matter if it’s 1 point to a shitty Texas team or a 3 point loss to Indiana or a 7 point loss to USC.
No one in the CFP area has ever got a pass for scheduling these fucking games. We never got credit for them and we won’t get credit for the loss. Just stop scheduling these.
I don’t give a shit if it’s boring. I don’t care if we are “unproven” in October. We’ll figure it out.
Because I can tell you a 10-2 buckeye team is on and a 9-3 buckeye team is out.

He missed a TD the paly before and another to carnell. The first one was a pretty routine play if he doesn't drop his eyes. The 2nd one would have been a great play. But it's much like he missed back to back TD's in the 3rd qtr. And one to Jeremiah in the endzone though I do!'t remember if we got a TD that drive. If you expect a college QB to be perfect to win the game you have bigger issues cause even the pros flub one or two passes a game

Good grief they SHOULDA quit there and let Texas score. Not that we woulda scored but they sure coulda had a lot more of a chance

They didn't figure it out last year because the schedule was so soft that there was nothing to figure out until it was too late and had no time time to fix it.

The one to 4 tonight was going to be no catch because the defender steered him OOB on his route.
The biggest miss tonight to me was the Inniss seam that got missed. I think they got a FG after that though.

When it comes to day. I can't recall many good coaches ever tanking a big 4th quarter lead like that. It's just not something good coaches do. Which means....

This wasn’t even a tenth as bad as the loss to Michigan in 2024, and he and the team figured shit out. It is only the 2nd early season loss they’ve had, though. 3 of the last 4 years they’ve waited until the issue was forced to make changes and tough decisions. My hope is that this sets that into motion much faster.
Burn the tape, move forward, and start working on solutions.

To me, this loss sits squarely on Patricia's shoulders. Rush 3, drop 8, the entire 4th quarter. Game over.

Yeah the 2 back to back TD's was way overthrowing McCuin then I think Innis down the seam on the other side when he forced an almost pick to Jeremiah. Fg made it 23 instead of 27
The last one I agree if Jeremiah would have got his feet inbounds on that one I would have been super impressed

No, no way.
They certainly could’ve done something to ice the game but all the offense had to do was score 1 time. Literally just once.
I will edit to say that we need to evaluate the defense. Get #5 on the field on defense. I don’t care if that takes 26 off the field. Do it.

This is more and more where I'm sitting as I'm thinking about it.
The defense that was played tonight cannot be more than a changeup going forward. You never let a struggling QB get back to rhythm and that's exactly what happened tonight.
