Game Thread tOSU at Texas, Sat. Sept 12, 7:30 pm ET, ABC

yep. 15 points left on the table with 3 FGs and a non-FG on the 4th down failure.
Sayin missed 2 tds. And was off most the second half. On one random drive we went 3 straight passes to mostly backup WRs. We missed a very makable kick after trying to go for the jugular instead of getting the 3-4 yards for the first down

Not sure I agree. Very close and similar. Day doesn’t understand the game anymore. He understands recruiting and being good people. But he has no feel for the game. None.
You'd be wrong. All Cryami had to do was take a knee and the game was over. They fumbled. Georgia Tech scored 2 plays later after going 80 yards. NOTHING will ever top that, no matter how bad tonight was.

My hope is the coaching staff learns a lot from this disaster, the players get super focused moving forward, and we run the BIG ten table.
The supposedly 2nd best team, Oregon has proven to be a "paper duck"... ; we all know scUM isn't all that good. Neither USC or Indiana is actually better than the Buckeyes. Sop that's very doable. as long as they don't have another "letdown".

Which was Tressel’s version of a “blowout” knowing he built a team and personality to consistently run out the clock and embarrass you.

Day is still in between. Goes run run pass trying to be conservative. Then the FG miss drive he finally started to “open” it to passing but was still not creative.

We know we have #4 but Sayin not progressing to involve others and see the field is a problem.

Maybe we need to add a few more TEs to the field. They add so much…
Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like Tress and Urban knew their teams better than Ryan seems to. They both took losses, bad ones, but week in and week out it just seems they had a better feel for the strengths and weaknesses of their personnel and coached to them. Day seems to coach one way, regardless. There’s just been some really baffling misuse of talent and playing to weaknesses I just don’t understand.
