That was the issue.classic Day.
Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
took his foot off
the gas.
that never makes sense to me.
why do that when you are dominating ?
just a pussy attitude.

This is where I'm at.I have been Ryan Day's biggest supporter over the years, but I'm done. This loss was inexcusable. Day failed to go for the jugular (he never does) and he essentially tried to run out the clock for the entire second half. Gutless football, play not to lose, choke the game away.
That was literally the worst game management in the last 1:30 that I have ever seen at big time cfb. 2 call 2 timeouts on D? To not tell his players to let them score to give us enough time to mount a FG drive ? Inexplicably bad. He should know better but he doesn’t. He is a great recruiter but a horrible game coach. Not even average.you win dumbest post of the year award in week 2. Congrats.
I agree. The whole second half Day called the game like he still had Downs, Reese, Styles, etcetera. This is a young defense. All time choke job. This team is not making the goalline stand the teams in the past two years did. Did we lose players from those teams. I always forget.
How many goal line stands did we have over the last 2 seasons. I can see why he didn't want to give it up.That was literally the worst game management in the last 1:30 that I have ever seen at big time cfb. 2 call 2 timeouts on D? This was a very tough early season game for a team replacing so many starters. The early turnovers flattered them. They could lose to Indiana as well at this point, but I have a feeling that they can pull this together and make a run this year still. The loss was largely due to coaching and the rebuilding of the soul of this team after this loss, will rest on the coaching staff to the same degree. I'm not ready to think this will blow them up yet.
