That was a very stressful evening. All we know is... our secondary is BAD! They are REALLY BAD! Guys were wide open all night long, and it's not like they had to cover for very long, the D line was causing good pressure. I was really impressed with the D line, and the safeties were acceptable. Secondary is really not acceptable. They look slow, they don't EVER get physical with the receiver off the line and their tackling is only decent. Part of that is coaching, part is on the players.

Think you nailed it here, totally agree with your take. Thought his play where he stopped just short of the line of scrimmage and tossed that one to philly brown was one of the biggest plays of the night. As much as he struggles or i guess just seems like he isn't grooving at the time, i love that urban sticks with him in there. He is our guy regardless of the talkers saying Kenny would walk right in and suddenly command the O down the field seamlessly. Hell of a Win!!! Go Bucks!!

The way I see it is our dline is sick because our young recruits are sick. BTW we get schutt back next game. Our linebackers are more than solid overall and they're great blitzers. The one area we haven't placed any urban recruits yet is the secondary. I love 4, 2, 3, and number 1 but what this secondary lacks is that combo of speed and size. All our guys are under 6 feet and under 200 pounds. Once eli, cam, bell, and powell become full time starters I feel we will see the defense really take it to new heights. Theyll all be over 6'1 and more than likely over 200 pounds.

We're a fast and undersized secondary that imo loses battles with stronger recievers. Get bigger and stronger in the back end and it'll all work out.

I just can stop thinking about how good the defensive line will be next year

Who was that NW player that said, "We don't have to play outstanding, just 'good' to win this game." {paraphrasing}? NW's two-headed QB was 25-31, 343yds, 2TDs. Seems to me, "outstanding" wasn't quite enough to beat these Buckeyes.

I wouldn't worry about that. NW brought everything they had to give to the table and nearly won the game. I don't know if they'll lose a game the rest of the way unless it's next week against Wisky...
