Game Thread tOSU at NW'ern, Oct 5, 8 ET, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

I think it's a curse to go buy "Blue Man" tickets on any Scarlet & Gray Saturday. Don't jinx this. :(

I'm not buying (hence the "free"), so no jinx. My fiance works at Universal and they give out free tickets every now and then. Plus, they changed the show last year. 6pm show time means I should be out in time (90 min. show). Regardless, I'll be wearing the typical lucky gear all day, including what I'm designating as "pre-gaming" at International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot, on the tab of a friend's parents I'm getting into the park for free. Free "pre-game" food and drinks, free pre-game entertainment, and a Buckeye win will make for a very good Saturday.

Meh - 'free' means no one will care if you don't go

I may end up missing the first quarter or so of the game, but for free Blue Man Group tickets I think I can handle that. Hope the Bucks take care of business right out of the gate.

"Due to the fact that Northwestern has had problems with game attendance in the past, there are rumblings that College Gameday and the Northwestern Athletic Department will be restricting access to Gameday on campus. They are trying to keep it at 70% Northwestern fans, 30% OSU."

Wish I could say I'm surprised...
But will they let the guy with the Washington State flag in? That's the real question here.

While the NAD can restrict access to certain areas on campus, GameDay has absolutely no fucking authority to restrict jack [Mark May] on campus...
Well, if NW gives them authority to restrict access to the set area and espn agrees, then that's what's gonna happen. What will be hilarious is when casual fans are watching Gameday and it looks like NW fans are in full effect, then they show the first aerial view of the stadium and it shows the stripes of purple in the red sea.

That's definitely going to be the case. Why would Buckeye fans be there at 9am when it's only a 6-ish hour drive from Columbus?

Interesting note about the NW AD. I called to see about getting tickets through the NW ticket office - the lady indicated I would have had to buy a season ticket. I asked why, and that I've bought single game tickets previously through the ticket office. Apparently this is new and only for the Ohio State game. Practically, it sucks, but it certainly says something about the two fan bases.

That it's halfway through the season and they still have season tickets available?
