They'd had 2 second half 3-and-outs prior to the Miller fumble. After that:

2 plays, 23 yards, touchdown
7 plays, 82 yards, touchdown
5 plays, 24 yards, punt
7 plays, 72 yards, touchdown
4 plays, 78 yards, touchdown

These weren't gut-wrenching exhausting 16-play drives (ala Illinois or LSU 2007) where UNL wore them down. They got absolutely gashed repeatedly.

I'm not arguing that the offense helped them at all. Not even a bit. But I just can't place the blame on the offense when the defense implodes so dramatically.

I agree with you, it's tough though when our offense probably averaged about :40 for each possession, that's not enough time for the defense.

I know I may be one of the few...I was laughing most of the 2nd half when bauserman was in. Its not good when everytime you see the guy step back to pass that you are expecting some kind of negative play.

I just never want to see Joe B throw again. We're better off punting on first down, seriously. Let's take the positives from the first half, learn the lessons from the second, and go on to next week.
